Sorry, I just saw the rate page on the front of the site. My other question was. Do you have to pay if you rope off someone?

YES YOU DO HAVE TO PAY FOR ROPING OFF I WAS ROPED ALL LAST WEEKEND WITHOUT POWER ACCESS AND HAD TO PAY EVERY NIGHT. HOWEVER THE SENIOR DOCKMASTER MADE PLUGS AVAILABLE DURING THE CONCERT FOR POWER FOR ME. |

My question is, what about the several boats that seem to make the canal wall their permanent dock for the summer? There is a 35 Silverton Motoryacht that spends the entire summer on the wall, does he pay $25 for every night! Doubt it as even the most expensive docks on the river are cheaper!

Having been involved in cruising around the Great Lakes and new to the Canal I find the facilities very nice compared to Buffalo, Cleveland, Dunkirk, and Sandusky. As well as very cost effective. The average overnight with water and electric I have found is around $35-40. For that you get basic services. Often with electric that is over taxed. While I agree the facilities at NT (Ie Bathrooms are dirty) I find they are not that much different than the ones I found in orther Marinas at twice the cost. One suggestion would be increase the fee to support boater only bathrooms where you receive a key when you check in.

I've been to some ports on the canal that ask for a $5 deposit if you require a bathroom key or sometimes a laundry key. When you return the key, then the deposit is refunded. On the canal system from here to Cayuga/Seneca canal the only other town that requires payment is Fairport, but they weren't as much as Tonawandas are.
